Candle Safety
Please take care when burning candles in your home, here are some safety rules:
Never leave a candle unattended.
Always keep out of reach of children and pets.
Never burn a candle for longer than 3 hours at a time.
Place the candle on a flame-retardant surface away from anything that can catch fire.
For best results keep your candle out of sunlight at 25C.
Never move a burning candle.
When there is 1cm of wax left, it’s time to start a new candle. Get in touch with us or join our Candle Club and receive one every month, or every 2nd or third. You decide.
Candle Care
The first burn is the most important. Relax and make sure you have a few hours to light your candle. We recommend using a long fireplace match or grill lighter. Keep your wick trimmed to 5mm using a candle wick trimmer. Occasionally mushrooming can occur, this is ok, after the candle is extinguished allow the wax to harden and carefully trim the wick to 5mm, taking care not to let the wick trimming fall into the wax. By trimming your wicks you will ensure a long and happy candle life.
Is the scent strong?
We’ve tested our fragrances for hot and cold throws to be just right. To maximise scent throw, burn your candle for 2-3 hours at a time to create that holiday feeling all year round.
Should I get a wick trimmer?
We think so, and it looks good too.
You can purchase one with your candle order here.
Wick trimmers make it easy to trim your candles, however a pair of scissors will also do. Trimming wicks to 5mm will maximise the burn time of your candle.
Why do you use soy wax?
It is a natural wax made from soybean oil, it’s non toxic and bio- degradable. Unlike paraffin wax which releases carcinogens into the air you breathe. Soy wax burns completely and cleanly with no build up or fumes in the air. Soy wax also distributes more fragrance and can last up to 50% longer than paraffin candles.
How do I clean my jar after use?
Soy wax is water soluble and easily cleaned with hot soapy water. Use a paper towel first to remove any warm wax, then clean with hot soapy water. Wrap any excess wax in paper and place in the bin.
What can I use my jar for?
Once cleaned, use the jar to hold flowers from the garden, or plant a succulent, pens and knick knacks, paperclips, and office supplies like staples, the possibilities are endless and you’ll be recycling at the same time.
How long will my candles burn for?
We’ve tested our candles over a period of 12 months, candles will burn for 85+ hours for our large ceramic candle, provided you trim the wick to 5mm after each burn and burn for max 3 hours at a time.

Diffuser Care
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Remove the plastic stopper from the glass bottle and replace black collar, then insert the rattan reeds.
Let the reeds draw the diffuser oil for about an hour, then flip the reeds over. The oil will continue to draw up the diffusers reeds scenting your room for several months.
Always flip diffuser reed sticks over a paper towel and wipe the bottle so no oil drips onto your table/surface. Place your reed diffusers on a coaster or a glass surface to prevent any excess oil from staining your surface.
For a fresh fragrance burst flip the diffuser reeds over every couple of weeks.
Positioning your reed diffuser near a source of airflow, such as a vent or a window, will help the fragrance spread faster throughout the room. The downside is that this will also decrease the life span of your reed diffuser as the fragrance oil dissipates at a faster rate. Try placing your reed diffuser away from air conditioning or vents first and see if the scent is sufficient for your own personal tastes.
Keep away from reach of children and pets.
